Fanfiction recs; Current total: 200

Some things you ought to know:
1. Recs are organized alphabetically by fandom, then by pairing.
2. Whatever rating the author gave their story is the rating I provide in parentheses. If the author didn't provide a rating, I put NR in parentheses.
3. If a story is still archived wherever I linked, but locked/set to private, I noted this with *locked*
4. However, I have NOT included warnings, such as violence, incest, etc. Read the info yourself!
5. I don't usually rec WIP. When they are finished, I will rec the stories.
6. I found all of these stories very enjoyable. However, this is not even the tip of the fanfic-iceberg of what it out there. DO explore stories by the authors I linked, because many of them have written multiple stories, and I am sure they are all great.
7. NEW recs have an asterick * before the title. This entry will also be pushed to the top of my flist when I update with new stories.
8. I obviously recommend my own stories, which are linked last and marked with a ♥ under their respective headings. Reviews feed my soul.

I can only post some links to Skate/Sawyer stories, having discovered the fanfiction world recently and because of Lost so that's the only fandom I've been looking for fanfictions so far, after for months I just stuck to In Hiding and On The Road.

Dear Nicole,
I happen to read your rec list just cause it popped up on my friends page - glad it did. I read several and really enjoyed them - especially Luke's Girl (I've read just about every Star Wars book out there and it was just good as any of those!). So thanks to you, I read outside of Pushing Daisies fandom (yes, for the first time -- but I am waaaay too obsessed with PD). But only one PD on your list?? How about some from Fireworksfics, ninamazing or trolliepop? Just a suggestion!!

Fanfiction is wonderful. Especially on lj, you tend to find, for lack of a better term, less crap than say on fanfiction.net. Definitely read more!

As for me, I don't read much PD fic, and I should start reading more. Any recommendations?

And I'm watching the superbowl right now, and there is nothing I find less arousing than sports, so seriously, a tiny one while watching sports is like a g-spot explosive orgasm normally. *nods* Don't laugh at my logic.

I think I'm going to have to finish the you-know-what next weekend. I'm almost done, but I was going to do re-writes today (a lot of it needs re-written), but then I got all superbowl-y and then there were fics that I somehow ended up reading, even though I'm not in the fandom they were for, and the next thing you know it's 11:30 at night and I haven't re-written anything. But I will finish it next weekend. Because it makes me giggle like a two year old, for reals.

I suck ~~worse than the Patriots~~. :(

I'm proud of you! I might try to read it next weekend (I have to go to bed soon for school tomorrow or I'd do it tonight [I'm slow when it comes to reading things online. I start, but then ten seconds later I get distracted by things like "I should look up Jell-o on Wikipedia" or something, and it takes me hours to read something that should take no time at all. It's crazy.]. I'll even put a little reminder thingy on my To-Do List LJ post). That is a lot of parentheses and brackets. I need to take grammar lessons, apparently. Lose, Kaci. LOSE.

I did write one part I really love, though! Dwight and Jim in a baby store, arguing over whether or not they should paint the baby's room pink because Dwight thinks it's "weak" and he's going to start the poor kid on karate lessons before her first day of kindergarten. Oh, Dwight & Jim. <3

Nah, I just don't have time. On Mondays, I get up, leave for school, and then proceed to wait on campus for two hours until my first class because my mom has a class before mine starts. No internet. Then I have a class, then I have an hour after that one before my next one. Again, no internet. Then after the second class, I have a third class, and then it's straight home. By the time I get home, it's 10 PM, and I have to be up at 6 the next morning. I barely have time to eat dinner. Internet, but no time.

Then on Tuesdays, it's up at 6, class until 10:45, then mom has a sign language class until like...2 or something, so I'm stuck at school with again, no internet. Then Tuesday day is when my mom and I hang out because we barely get to see each other, even though I live with her four days a week.

Wednesday is a repeat of Monday, except after the second class I'm done. But I'm still stuck at school until 10 PM, with no internet.

And then Thursdays is the same as Tuesdays, except at 10:45, I get out of class, my grandma picks me up, and I come back home, where I finally have time and internet at the same time.

Seriously, I have either no internet, or no time during the week. Whenever I have one, I don't have the other. It's a complete tragedy. I'm never scheduling my classes like this again.

(Plus, I'm taking 5 classes this semester instead of my usual 3 or 4. But on the plus side, I'll finally be a junior next year! I'll finally be only 1 year behind the people I graduated high school with! Yay!)

Dwight and Jim being the excitement out in people. This is my favorite line from the shopping trip (I am a tease, I can not help it):

"You call me at four in the morning for promises that our daughter won't be born with two heads."

"It's a valid concern!" Dwight protests. "I don't know what kind of freaks you might have in your family tree. Just look at what the Halpert bloodline did to you!"

I <3 writing Jim/Dwight. :-D

It scares me sometimes how easily a mind like Dwight's comes to me. *snort* Can't you just picture him calling Jim at the wee hours of the morning to inquire if the Halpert's had a history of being born deformed? Or high blood pressure? And poor Jim just has to grit his teeth and put up with it because Dwight's having his kid. *snort* Oh, Dwim. <3

I do in some buildings. I have three buildings I'm in: Cole, Davis, and Fleming. Of those, only Cole has internet access, and I'm only in it (with free, non-class time) for 2 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays. I could walk from Davis to it after my last class on Wednesdays, except by then it's 6:45 and dark (oh, the joys of West Virginian winters), and my mom basically banned me from walking on campus after dark the other day because this poor girl was brutally (like really really) brutally raped on that end of campus two weeks ago. And yeah, I'm 21 and could technically do it anyway, but honestly, after hearing that, I don't want to do it anyway.

The place where our campus is is the bad part of town, anyway. Last year someone got stabbed, too. And people wonder why my tuition is less than $2000/semester.
